Fisicalcoach S.L.
Sports clubs deal with a crazy amount of data every single day—everything from real-time GPS tracking and training loads to medical updates and tactical scouting.
My job wasn’t to build something new from scratch. Instead, my mission was to optimize, expand, and elevate a comprehensive, end-to-end SaaS platform for sports club management. I spent my time fixing messy user flows, designing new core modules to handle everything from advanced athlete metrics to complex team logistics, and creating a solid, consistent look for the entire brand—connecting the deep SaaS tool with the public marketing website.
Since top-tier sports tech requires top-tier secrecy, the core app is locked behind a strict NDA.
I’ll only show what’s already shown in the public marketing website.

(This is a translated recommendation, original is in Spanish)
I’ve been lucky enough to work with Carmen on the development of our platform, and honestly, it’s been one of those collaborations that truly makes a difference.
From day one, she stood out because of her genuine commitment to the project. She didn’t just execute tasks; she understood the product, the context, and the goals as if they were her own.
Her ability to co-create, bring strong criteria to the table, and elevate every single design decision was key to the final result.
On a technical and creative level, her attention to detail and quality is obvious in every interface. But what really sets her apart is her mindset: Carmen doesn’t work just to get things done, she works to stand out. She invests the time needed—and often goes way beyond what’s expected—to make sure every deliverable is at the absolute highest level.
Plus, she has an attitude that constantly adds value: she is self-critical, always learning, and has this real curiosity to deeply understand every project she touches. She doesn’t stay on the surface; she digs deep, questions things, and improves them.
Personally, she’s an absolute pleasure to work with. Close, committed, and always with a positive attitude. She’s the kind of person who doesn’t just fit into a team, she lifts it up.
Without a doubt, she is the type of profile you don’t look for just for a one-off collaboration, but to build with for the long term. I truly hope we get the chance to work together again, because having someone like Carmen on your team is a guaranteed win.
CONTEXT

Designing a platform that caters to 18 different sports disciplines required an incredibly scalable approach. Every sport has its own set of rules, metrics, and terminology, yet the user experience had to remain completely cohesive across the board.
Since the public marketing website at already features verified previews of the software’s ecosystem, we can lift the curtain on the exact sections I optimized and expanded.
Here is how I structured and redesigned the core modules, which range from performance and tactical strategy to athlete health and high performance:
Scouting & Competition:
My goal:
Take raw match analysis and opponent tracking, and turn it into actionable tactical data.
To achieve this, I completely redesigned the main scouting board to make data collection during matches and competitions frictionless. The legacy layout was overwhelming, so I optimized it for real-time data entry. Now, coaches and analysts can log events instantly while the game is happening, without losing focus.
I also created a brand-new overview dashboard that streamlines post-match analysis. Instead of digging through messy metrics, stakeholders get a clean, high-level snapshot of team performance, making it incredibly easy to spot trends and plan the next tactical strategy.

Exercises, training sessions and player recovery
My goal:
Build an intuitive workspace where coaches can easily map out tactical drills, structure complete training blocks, and track how players actually respond to the workload.
For this module, my job was to integrate the existing 3D tool into a completely clean, intuitive interface.
The real UX challenge here was the context of use: coaches need to read a massive amount of data on a tablet, right out on the training field, in the middle of a session. To solve this, I heavily optimized the layout and visual hierarchy. I made sure every data point, drill intensity, and training structure—whether for the whole group or individual players—is incredibly clear and easy to read at a glance under high-pressure conditions.
Coaches can now easily see how players responded to the session, check their recovery stats, and draw quick, meaningful conclusions to adapt the next day’s workload.

Tests
My goal:
Optimize and elevate the existing testing system to evaluate player capacities seamlessly, making it easy to track physical condition and progress over time.
Fisicalcoach already had a wide selection of field tests built into the platform, but the user experience had some major consistency issues and broken flows. My job was to audit and fix those pain points to make the whole testing process seamless.
The legacy interface for viewing player status and test results was pretty cluttered and hard to navigate on the go. I completely redesigned it to be much more intuitive and tablet-friendly.
To give the module a massive upgrade, I also introduced new data visualization graphics. Instead of just showing a static number, coaches can now view test results through different visual formats and easily compare them against past tests to track an athlete’s progress or notice a drop in performance instantly.

Injury Prevention & RFD (Return to Play)
My goal:
Turn a chaotic layout into a structured, step-by-step guidance system that tracks player injuries and manages their safe return to competition.
This module is divided into two vital areas: tracking existing injuries to prevent future ones, and guiding the player and coaches through the RFD (Sports Functional Re-education) phases. Fisicalcoach had the medical logic down, but the interface was an absolute chaos. Users were getting lost trying to figure out what to do next.
I completely re-architected the UI to create a clear, intuitive stepping system. Now, instead of staring at a messy screen, medical staff and fitness coaches can see at a first glance exactly where the player stands in their recovery journey.
By introducing a structured visual timeline, the interface naturally highlights the player’s current evolutionary phase and clearly outlines the exact next steps required before they are cleared to train or compete again.

Physiotherapy, Nutrition and Psychology
My goal:
Redesign the team overview and calendar structures to give coaches and medical staff an instant, 360° view of a player’s daily treatments, diet, and mental well-being.
These modules were built to schedule and centralize everything happening in a player’s day-to-day life outside the pitch. While all the core features were already implemented, the original UI and the team list overview were way too basic and confusing. It was hard for a coach or doctor to quickly understand a player’s full status.
I completely overhauled the interface to improve clarity and remove friction. I focused heavily on redesigning the team overview layout, transforming a messy list into a clean, intuitive dashboard where staff can see at a glance who is doing what.
Now, with a much more seamless calendar integration, anyone on the staff can instantly track what treatments a player has received, check their nutritional plans, and see upcoming psychology sessions—creating absolute transparency across the entire coaching and medical team.

Comprehensive Reports
My goal:
Build the reporting system completely from scratch to translate complex app data into highly visual, tailored PDF summaries that help coaches make decisive strategic moves.
While the app was great at capturing data, users needed a way to present those insights to club executives, stakeholders, or the athletes themselves. I designed these downloadable reports from the ground up, ensuring they felt like a natural extension of the software by maintaining the exact same visual identity and design system.
The real UX challenge here was data prioritization. A club director doesn’t need to see the same level of detail as a physical trainer.
To solve this, I designed three distinct layouts: general club overviews, specific team performance reports, and deep-dive individual player profiles. I carefully structured each layout to highlight only what matters most for that specific context, turning a massive cloud of raw data into clean, beautiful infographics that are genuinely useful and easy to act on.

LOOKING AHEAD
Now that my design work on the platform is complete, I couldn’t be more excited for the team at Fisicalcoach.
I want to wish them the absolute best as they tie up the final loose ends and polish the last details before the big release. I have zero doubts that this launch is going to be a massive success—the sports world is definitely going to feel the impact!
